Three people have appeared in court in Co Clare, charged in connection with an incident outside a primary school in Ennis yesterday.

Three people have appeared in court in Co Clare, charged in connection with an incident outside a primary school in Ennis yesterday.

Conor Mahon of 2, Ballaghboy, Quin Road, Ennis was charged with possession of a slash hook.

His wife Rose Mahon, of the same address, and sister-in-law Laura Molloy of 21, An Pairc, Bruach Na hAbhainn, Quin Road were charged with criminal damage of a car.

During the hour-long hearing at Ennis District Court all three were also charged with engaging in threatening and abusive behavior at the Holy Family Junior School on Station Road in the town.

Mr Mahon and his sister in law were remanded in custody to appear in court again next Wednesday.

Rose Mahon was also remanded, but with consent to bail under several strict conditions, including that she remain away from the Holy Family School and observe a night-time curfew.
