Three men have been arrested in Co. Tipperary, following a seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of €240,000.

Three men have been arrested in Co. Tipperary, following a seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of €240,000.

Customs seized herbal Cannabis worth an estimated €140,000, believed to have originated in Spain, was discovered at a premises in Roscrea.

Three Lithuanian males - one in his late teens and two in their mid 20s - were arrested by Gardai at the scene and have been detained at Nenagh Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice Act.

In a follow up search at another address in Roscrea, a package containing 5 kilogrammes of herbal cannabis was seized, with an estimated street value of €100,000.

The discoveries were part of a joint operation by Revenue's Customs Service, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, along with the Roscrea Divisional Drugs Unit.
