Most people buying suncream do not always check the label for protection against the two harmful rays, according to a survey from the Health Products Regulatory Authority.
The survey shows that 62% do not check for protection against UVA and UVB.
Only 38% considered the sun protection factor, or SPF, most important while 20% considered UVA protection most important.
Also, only a quarter understood that the term 'Broad Spectrum' means a product provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
