Sinn Féin claims water charges have become this Government's bank bailout.
Party President Gerry Adams has called on the Taoiseach to resign and call an election.
Mr Adams said since taking office Fine Gael and Labour under Enda Kenny’s leadership has stumbled from one debacle to another and a General Election should now be called.
He was responding to remarks made by Enda Kenny that the next election will be a choice between a Fine Gael or Sinn Féin-led Government.
Sinn Féin's Peadar Toibin said the Fine Gael and Labour policies have impoverished the Irish people.
"Fine Gael and Labour picked up the baton off Fianna Fáil and they implemented, exactly, Fianna Fáils policies - from the water charges to paying back the bondholders, to paying back the promissory note," he said.
"Their policies have impoverished a generation of Irish people … it's very clear that the water charges have become this Government's bank bailout."
