Search resumes for man missing off Donegal coast

A major search operation is set to resume later for a man in his 50s missing of the coast of Co Donegal.

A major search operation is set to resume later for a man in his 50s missing of the coast of Co Donegal.

He was camping on the Isle of Doagh on the Inishowen peninsula, but has not been seen since Monday.

Lifeboats from Lough Swilly, Greencastle coastguard and the Sligo 118 helicopter are all involved in the search.

The alarm was raised by members of the public shortly after 6pm yesterday after a car was spotted on the Isle of Doagh.

Joe Joyce Lough Swilly RNLI said two lifeboats had been launched from Buncrana and participated in a search with a Coastguard vessel.
