Search operation underway after man seen entering River Shannon
A search operation is underway along the River Shannon after a man reportedly entered the water in Clare last night.
Gardaí, fire service personnel and paramedics were called to the scene near Clonlara Bridge at around 8pm.
The Shannon-based search and rescue helicopter was also involved in the operation.
Gardaí at Henry Street in Limerick City are investigating the incident.
