The search for missing man Barry Davis Ryan off the coast of Baltimore in west Cork is set to resume at 8am this morning.

The 21-year-old disappeared while trying to save his girlfriend Niamh O'Connor from Glanmire, who was swept out to sea on Tuesday evening.
Her body was later recovered from the water, as well as that of Barry Ryan Snr, the missing man's father.

[/comment]Divers, lifeboats and local craft will be involved in this morning's search, along with shore crews.
Local councillor Joe Carroll, a friend of the Ryan family, said that the area where it happened is well known by walkers and photographers.

"It was just one of these freak occasions, that people were walking out on the rocks by the beacon there," he said.
"People down through the years have gone there for walks and gone there to take photographs and do all these things.
"It's just a freak occasion, it's kind of sickening."
