Revenue seizes laundered fuel in Mayo

Revenue officers have seized 6,000 litres of laundered fuel in county Mayo.

Officers searched a business premises on Wednesday and discovered the fuel in a number of oil tanks and in various vehicles.

A marker inserted in fuel for non-commercial use has been detected in the liquids found.

An investigation is ongoing and Revenue says it is working towards a criminal prosecution.
