Rabbitte praises ESB staff
ESB staff who helped restore power to more than 100,000 customers are being commended by the Government.
The Minister for Energy Pat Rabbitte said that repair teams worked selflessly to reconnect those cut off by the Christmas storms.
Supply is to be returned tonight to the final 800 homes and businesses affected by the winds which reached up to 150 km per hour.
