Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to an assault in North Belfast last night.

Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to an assault in North Belfast last night.

At some time between late afternoon and early evening, two men, aged in their 20's, were walking along the Cliftonville Road when a car stopped beside them.

A man got out of the passenger seat of the car and assaulted one of the men, while the driver remained in the vehicle.

The man sustained a serious injury to his lip as a result of the assault.
