Gardaí have sealed off an apartment in north Dublin as part of their investigation into the murder of a Polish man over the weekend.
The 29-year-old died after being stabbed several times in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim had been out with a group of friends at the Wright Venue nightclub in Swords in north Co. Dublin on Saturday night.
They are believed to have left the club at around 3am on Sunday morning.
It is not yet known where the group went but around an hour later, the victim was brought to the Rotunda hospital in Dublin with serious stab wounds.
He was immediately transferred to the Mater Hospital, where he died yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí are now trying to establish where the man was attacked and stabbed.
An apartment in Fairview has been sealed off for a forensic examination and gardaí are urging anyone who has information to contact them.
They are making a special appeal to members of the Polish community who may know something to come forward.
The victim had been Ireland for several years. He was living in Naas, Co Kildare but had gone to Dublin to go out with friends for the weekend.
