Up to 20 new jobs are on the way for counties Carlow and Tipperary.

Ireland’s largest pet retailer Maxi Zoo has announced it is to open two new stores over the coming weeks, in Carlow and Clonmel.

The pet store chain already operates across counties Dublin, Cork, Kildare, Wicklow, Wateford, Limerick and Longford and the two new store openings bring the total number of Irish stores to 13.

The Irish company currently employs 105 people and is planning to create hundreds of new jobs by opening another 30 pet stores over the next five years.
