Clare County Council, acting as agents of Irish Water, has said that parts of Shannon Town are without water this morning after a water main burst in the Shannon area.

Clare County Council, acting as agents of Irish Water, has said that parts of Shannon Town are without water this morning after a water main burst in the Shannon area.

Crews are currently working to repair the burst.

Water tankers are being provided at Shannon Fire Station and at McDonalds until water supplies have been restored.

Members of the public are asked to bring their own containers for water.

UPDATE: Clare County Council says water supplies have been restored in all areas Shannon Town.
