Parents queue overnight for places in Dublin Educate Together school

Up to 50 parents have been queuing overnight to get their child a place at a new Educate Together school in Dublin.

Clonturk Community College is due to open in Whitehall next September.

There are 96 spaces on offer for next year at the Educate Together school.

Jan McCarthy is one of the parents who stayed overnight to get her child a place. She said: "We were checking with the school on and off on Friday and Saturday.

"I had to come up Sunday twice and on my third time up, there was someone else in the queue. It was a no-brainer. I was out of the car, the chair was down and I was here for the night."
