Ireland has moved another step closer to marriage equality this evening.

Draft laws to allow full civil marriage between same-sex couples were approved by the Oireachtas Justice Committee.

The Marriage Bill was sent through without amendment and now goes back to the Dáil for its final approval.

It then gets sent to the Seanad for its final consideration before being signed into law and marriages can begin.
