A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in north Cork over the bank holiday weekend.
A 35-year-old man was shot in the neck in the White Country Inn in Banteer around 8pm on Sunday night, but he was not seriously hurt.
He declined to take an ambulance to hospital, and instead took a taxi home.
Gardaí later recovered a firearm near the scene.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested over the shooting this morning in the Banteer area and he is being questioned at Mallow Garda Station.
