Number of people using Dublin Bus falls

The number of people using Dublin Bus services dropped last year.

There's been a steady decline since 2010, according to figures from the National Transport Authority.

In 2012, over 113 million passengers travelled on Dublin Bus - this dropped by just under a million last year, or 0.7%.

Those using Bus Eireann services went up, by over a million to almost 30 million, a rise of 3.7%.

While the Rural Transport Programme saw an increase of 0.5%.
