The Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan has said he has yet to find any evidence in the Smithwick Tribunal report to warrant an internal inquiry.

Judge Peter Smithwick concluded that on the balance of probabilities Garda collusion did occur in the murders of two RUC officers in 1989.

Callinan pointed out that he and his senior officers are continuing to examine the findings in the report.

He added if there is anything that needs to be addressed it will be, but so far nothing has been found to require an internal probe:
