A new group is being launched today to promote Irish food and drink brands.

The group claims that consumers are confused as to what constitutes an Irish brand and a new logo has been unveiled as part of a campaign to help make it clearer.

"Love Irish Food" includes 25 of the country's top brands including Barry's Tea, Tayto and Bachelors.

A multi-million euro public information campaign is beginning in September aimed at getting more shoppers to buy Irish.
