A murder inquiry was launched today after a woman was found strangled in the North.

A murder inquiry was launched today after a woman was found strangled in the North.

The body of 53-year-old Pauline Haveron was found in a house in the Huntingdale area of Ballyclare, Co Antrim, on Sunday.

Details of the death were only released today after a post-mortem examination and consultations with the victim’s family.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Doagh Road and Huntingdale areas between 10pm on Saturday and 1am on Sunday.
