A motorcycle caught fire during rush hour outside Pearse Street Garda Station in Dublin.

The vehicle caught fire at approximately 5.30pm between the landmark garda station and Trinity College. Emergency services attended the scene, and there are no reports of any injuries .

A thick cloud of smoke obscured visibility in the area, as buses and other vehicles using the road were redirected towards Tara Street.

Pearse Street had closed at the junction with the garda station, but has now reopened to traffic.

No further delays are expected in the area.
