More than half of motorists have reportedly admitted to regularly breaking the speed limit in a new survey due to published today.

Reports this morning say one-in-six respondents to the Hibernian questionnaire also admitted to having driven while over the legal alcohol limit.

Elsewhere, half of all drivers say they have experienced aggressive behaviour from other road-users within the past year, while one-quarter admit to engaging in such behaviour themselves.

One-in-four also say they sometimes use their mobile phones while driving and one-in-12 say they read incoming text messages while driving.
