The Minister for the Environment John Gormley has said he would be happy to meet with student union leaders to discuss their housing problems.

This follows a sleep-out protest by about 30 students in front of Leinster House last night who were highlighting the shortage of third level student accommodation across the country.

The Minister said he wants to resolve the problem, but he said he has to look at housing problems across all sectors and not just in the student sector.
