A weather warning's been issued for five counties today, as winds are expected to reach 80 kilometres per hour - with gusts of up to 120 kilometres.

A weather warning's been issued for five counties today, as winds are expected to reach 80 kilometres per hour - with gusts of up to 120 kilometres.

The orange warning is in place for for Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

It says south to south-west winds will increase later today, in exposed coastal areas of Connacht and Donegal.

The alert is in effect until midnight tonight.
