Three weather warnings have been issued across Ireland for later tonight.
Met Eireann is advising of a status orange wind alert across much of the west of the country, with winds expected to gust between 110km/h and 130km/h.
A yellow wind warning - with gusts ranging from 90km/h to 110km/h - is also possible across Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford.
The weather forecaster is also advising of a snow and ice warning with snow accumulations - of up to 3 centimetres - likely in Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.
The first alert will come into place from 9pm tonight.
Meanwhile, Clare County Council has issued a wind and coastal flood warning.
The local authority says with high tides, swell and strong gale to storm force winds there is a heightened risk of coastal flooding.
It is expected the threat of coastal flooding will peak at times of high tides later this evening and on Monday.
Clare County Council is advising the public and those with properties which have previously flooded on the coast to be aware of the risk.
