McGuinness declines to define 'West Brit'
Martin McGuinness has declined to give a definition of what he believes a 'West Brit' is.
The Sinn Féin Presidential candidate this week used the term to describe some elements of the Irish media, but he subsequently backtracked, describing it as an "off-the-cuff remark".
He has also stated the he never commented on the wages paid to RTE's top stars.
Newspaper headlines this week claimed that Mr McGuinness called for the annual salary of one presenter to be capped at €100,000.
He has told Highland Radio that he never made such a comment and the only wages he has spoken of are those paid to the President.
