A man in his 30's has been hospitalised after being rescued from Carrauntoohill mountain in Kerry this afternoon.

A man in his 30's has been hospitalised after being rescued from Carrauntoohill mountain in Kerry this afternoon.

The Kerry Mountain Rescue team were tasked to the scene by the Gardaí at 2.30pm to assist with the rescue.

The man, who was climbing with three others, fell from a peak of the mountain in treacherous conditions and is currently being treated in hospital after he broke his ankle.
