A man in his 70s has died after a two-car crash in Co Kilkenny.

A man in his 70s has died after a two-car crash in Co Kilkenny.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm yesterday on the N24 near Piltown.

The elderly driver of one of the cars suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car, who is in his early 30s, received minor injuries.

Gardaí have preserved the scene and the N24 between Carrick on Suir and Mooncoin southbound is currently closed.
