A 46-year-old man has been killed in a crash in Kells in Co Meath.

Man killed after van collides with lorry

A 46-year-old man has been killed in a crash in Kells in Co Meath.

He died when the van he was driving collided with a lorry at Johnsbrook on the N52 at 10.30am this morning.

He was pronounced dead at scene.

A 66-year-old man who was driving the lorry was taken to Navan Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The road is closed for a forensic investigation and motorists are being advised that diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
