A man in 30's has been injured following a shooting incident in the capital.

A man in 30's has been injured following a shooting incident in the capital.

It is understood the incident happened on the Bawnogue road in Clondalkin.

The man managed to make his way into Clondalkin Garda Station at about 6.15pm where he was removed to Tallaght General Hospital for treatment.

The area around the church car park on Bawnogue Road and part of Tower Road has been sealed off for technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01-6667600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111.
