A man is due in court this morning, charged in relation to an attack on an elderly man in Limerick last Thursday.

A man is due in court this morning, charged in relation to an attack on an elderly man in Limerick last Thursday.

The man in his 80s was left uninjured but very shaken when he was robbed at Roxboro shopping centre.

Meanwhile, an 89-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after she was mugged outside her house in the Rossbrien area of the city on Sunday night when she returned home from bingo.

The two assaults happened on Thursday and Sunday last week.
