Man due before Mayo court in connection with Balla shooting
A man is due in court in Co Mayo this morning charged in connection with a shooting incident in the village of Balla near Castlebar earlier this week.
On Tuesday evening at around 6.30pm, a woman in her 50s was shot at the shop she was working in on the village's Main Street.
Yesterday evening, a 47-year-old man was charged in connection with the incident.
He is due before Ballina District Court at 10.30am today.
