A man in his early 20s has been arrested following a robbery of an off licence in Greenhills in Dublin last night.

A man in his early 20s has been arrested following a robbery of an off licence in Greenhills in Dublin last night.

A man armed with what was described as a hammer went into the shop on St. Johns Road at around 9.30pm.

He left the scene with a sum of money and nobody was injured in the incident.

A man in his 20s was arrested in a follow up search. He is being held at Sundrive Road Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
