A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Co Wicklow.

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Co Wicklow.

The body of the 50-year-old was found at a house in the Deepdales Estate in Bray in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí say a 21-year-old man arrested at 11am this morning. He is being held at Bray garda station.

A wide cordon has been taped-off around the house early this morning - and a hearse has now arrived at the estate to remove the woman’s body.

There has been significant Garda traffic in the estate this morning.

Forensic teams have been arriving across the morning - while uniformed officers have been at the entrance to Deepdales interviewing residents coming and going.

The office of the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy was also notified of the death.
