Man arrested after gun pointed at Gardaí in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man who allegedly pointed a gun at unarmed officers in the south of the city last night.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man who allegedly pointed a gun at unarmed officers in the south of the city last night.

The officers were called to the Dolphin's Barn area shortly before midnight.

When they arrived, a man pointed a gun at them and they called for armed back-up.

A man was later arrested at the scene and taken to Kilmainham garda station for questioning.
