The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said the Government will make a decision shortly that will provide 'clear and accurate' information on water charges.

Kenny made the comments in an address to Facebook staff at their new offices in Dublin this afternoon.

The Taoiseach admitted politicians do not get it right all the time, but that clarity on water charges would be brought soon.

“Despite all of the comments you will have heard recently, (the) Government will make its decision on this (water charges issue) very shortly,” said Kenny.

“It will be clear and accurate about it. So that people have confidence on in knowing the contribution they have to make, what it is for and what it is they get in return for that.”
