Justice Minister survives confidence motion

The Government has tonight won a motion of confidence in Justice Minister Alan Shatter.

The Coalition won by 95 votes to 51.

During the debate, the Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin called for Alan Shatter to go.

He also condemed an anti-semitic attack on the Justice Minister.

The package was sent to the South Dublin home of Minister Shatter this morning.

It contained a harmless white powder and a photograph of a Nazi rally.

Deputy Martin says those behind it should be prosecuted.
