Jill Meagher killer 'a sexual predator'
Adrian Earnest Bayley will be sentenced for the rape and murder of Irish journalist Jill Meagher in Australia next Wednesday, June 19.
At the hearing, which began this morning, the 41-year-old has been described by the prosecutor as a "sexual predator" who was on parole when he attacked ABC employee Jill Meagher.
He pleaded guilty in April to raping and killing the Drogheda native after she spent a night out with friends in the suburb of Brunswick.
Giving evidence, a psychologist said while he is remorseful his prognosis for reform is "very dark".
