James Nolan confirmed as body found in Polish river

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the body of a young man found dead in a river in the Polish City of Bydgoszcz this morning, is that of missing Irish man James Nolan.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the body of a young man found dead in a river in the Polish City of Bydgoszcz this morning, is that of missing Irish man James Nolan.

The 21-year-old from Blessington in Co Wicklow, traveled to Poland in a campervan with friends to watch Ireland play in Euro 2012, but became separated from the group in a bar on Saturday night.

His body was formally identifed by his family in Poland tonight.

Police have said that they are not treating his death as suspicious.
