An airlift is being sent from the UN Humanitarian Response Depot in Dubai.

Minister for Trade and Development, Joe Costello, says Ireland will dispatch urgently needed blankets, kitchen sets, jerry cans, and shelter supplies to those displaced by recent violence in Iraq.

He has also allocated €75,000 to Christian Aid Ireland for procurement of food and essential non-food items for people displaced by the violence.
