Ireland braced for stormy weather

Stormy conditions will hit the country later tonight and on Monday, with winds of up to 130 kilometres per hour forecast as the remnants of Hurricane Katia makes its way across the Atlantic.

The north and west of the country will be worst hit.

Motorists are being warned to drive with extra care as strong gales may cause trees or branches to fall, blocking roadways.
