Investigation launched after two bodies are found in Co Wexford

Two bodies have been found in Co Wexford.

The remains of a man and a woman were discovered at about 4.30pm in Clonroche village just a few miles from Enniscorthy.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after the two bodies were discovered in a house in the area this afternoon.

The discovery was made in the upstairs bedroom of a home in the Woodside Estate in Clonroche village.

Gardaí are not treating the deaths of the man in his 20s and woman in her 30s as suspicious.

A technical examination of the scene is being carried out and a post mortem will be conducted on both bodies at Waterford University Hospital tomorrow.

It is understood the couple were both from the Enniscorthy area.
