Injuries board reports rise in high-value awards

The body that assess personal injury compensation has reported a significant rise in the number of high-value awards made last year.

The body that assess personal injury compensation has reported a significant rise in the number of high-value awards made last year.

The Injuries Board says the number of awards worth more than €38,000 increased by 47%, while those worth more than €100,000 rose by 87%.

A total of €217m was awarded to more than 8,800 people during the year.
