More than 360 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across the country this lunchtime.

More than 360 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across the country this lunchtime.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says 287 people are on trolleys while a further 77 are in overflow areas of wards.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 58 people in need of a bed, according to the latest trolley watch report.

University Hospital Galway is next with 31 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
