The Government should set up new primary schools to better cater for our multi-ethnic population, according to a report from the international think-tank, the OECD.

The Government should set up new primary schools to better cater for our multi-ethnic population, according to a report from the international think-tank, the OECD.

The body said the current system of individual patron bodies running more than 3,000 primary schools was out of date as our society becomes more diverse.

At the moment, one in 10 primary school students is an immigrant.
