The Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan is making €3m available for a Public Area Enhancement scheme.

Govt gives €3m top-up for local authorities to spruce up public areas

The Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan is making €3m available for a Public Area Enhancement scheme.

The one off fund will help local authorities efforts to prepare and maintain their public areas for the busy summer tourist season.

All work undertaken under the scheme is additional to projects already planned and must be supplemented with 25% matching funding from the various local authorities.
