Government receives report into GSOC bugging allegations

The Taoiseach and Tánaiste have both received copies of the Cooke Report into the alleged bugging of GSOC's offices.

Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore received their copies yesterday, which they will now consider over the coming days.

The report is expected to identify the sequence of events and the facts leading up to the setting up of the inquiry into the allegations of bugging.

It will also assess any evidence of a security breach at the Ombudsman's office.

The report will be discussed by Government before being published.
