Gardaí uncover cannabis growhouse
Gardaí in Co Cavan have arrested a man after discovering a cannabis growhouse.
The finding was made at Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan, where around €100,000 of cannabis plants were found after a planned search at 9am this morning.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the premises in Coolkill, Kilnaleck, and is being detained at Cavan Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice Act (Drug Traffiking) 1996.
They also seized growhouse equipment and other paraphenalia, and the scene is currently preserved for technical examination.
