Gardaí are investigating three separate alleged sexual assaults that occurred in the past 24 hours.

Gardaí are investigating three separate alleged sexual assaults that occurred in the past 24 hours.

Two young women claimed they were attacked in Dundalk while a middle-aged woman said she was assaulted in Tralee, Co Kerry.

One young woman, believed to be in her early twenties, claimed she was dragged down a laneway on Bridge St in Dundalk at about 1am this morning.

A man has been arrested and is being questioned by gardaí.

In a separate incident in the same town, a teenage girl claimed she was assaulted at about 12.30am.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged woman claimed she was attacked in a field on the outskirts of Tralee town at about 9.30pm last night.

Gardaí have spoken to the woman and are continuing their investigations.
