Gardaí in Co Tipperary are searching for two men who carried out an armed robbery in Drangan.

It happened at Slattery's Garage on the Main Street at around 7.30pm last night.

The masked men, who were armed with a shotgun, threatened staff and demanded cash.

Nobody was injured and no money was taken.

Detective Seamus Maher from Clonmel Garda station told Tipp FM: "They fled the scene in a car and turned in the direction of O'Connor's public house and they left down the Newtown Road in the direction of Glengarrig.

"Both males are described as being about five foot 10 inches tall, wearing dark clothing and in their early 20s.

"They both wore balaclavas.":
